Oman Oil Marketing Company Concludes Its Annual Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Week, Reaffirming People and Safety as a Top Priority
Oman Oil Marketing Company recently concluded its annual Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Week through a dynamic program of interactive activities aimed at strengthening health, safety, environmental, and quality awareness across the company and its partner network.
The week commenced with the annual forum for contractors executing company projects. The forum served as a key platform for engagement with contractors and partners from across the Sultanate of Oman, enabling alignment on safety expectations, compliance requirements, and best practices. This collaborative approach reinforced the shared responsibility to uphold the highest standards of health, safety, environment, and quality across all operations.
The initiative featured a wide range of activities that brought together employees, service providers, and key stakeholders, with the objective of raising safety awareness and embedding a culture of shared responsibility throughout the organization. The program reflected Oman Oil Marketing Company’s ongoing commitment to safe and sustainable operations, placing people at the heart of all activities.
As part of its commitment to employee and community wellbeing, the company organised a blood donation campaign in coordination with the Central Blood Bank. The initiative saw strong participation from employees in support of national healthcare needs and embodied the company’s strong culture of social responsibility. Health and safety remained a central theme throughout the week, with employees benefiting from on site medical checkups conducted by healthcare professionals. In addition, a dedicated health and safety session for female employees focused on psychological resilience, work related stress management, and general health, within an open and supportive environment.
One of the key highlights of the program was the interactive virtual reality safety experience. Employees took part in realistic simulations designed to enhance learning in hazard identification, emergency response, and high risk operational scenarios. This initiative aimed to elevate safety awareness by making learning more engaging, practical, and closely aligned with real workplace conditions.
Leadership engagement played a central role during the week, with the executive management team conducting field visits and safety inspection tours at selected service stations. These visits supported on ground reviews of safety practices, encouraged direct interaction with frontline teams, and demonstrated leadership’s commitment to excellence in health and safety standards.
Commenting on the successful conclusion of the week, Tarik bin Muhammad Al-Junaidi CEO, Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) said, “Safety is a daily practice embedded in our sites, teams, and partnerships. Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Week reinforces that caring for our employees, listening to them, and supporting their wellbeing are fundamental to how we operate and grow as a company.”
The success of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Week further reinforces Oman Oil Marketing Company’s commitment to integrating safety, quality, and wellbeing into everyday operations. By combining awareness and learning, the company continues to strengthen its position as a responsible organization dedicated to protecting its employees, partners, and the communities it serves.
