The Council of Ministers has approved the formation of a Board of Trustees of the Royal Academy of Management, which is blessed by the honorary patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

Members of the Board of Trustees have been appointed for the next three years under the chairman of Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court. The board includes Dr Said bin Mohammed al Saqri, Minister of Economy as vice-chairman, supported by members Mahad bin Said bin Ali Baawain, Minister of Labour, Sheikh Waleed bin Khamis al Hashar, CEO of Bank Muscat, Khaula bint Hamoud al Harthy, CEO of Injaz Oman, and Dr Hatem bin Bakhit al Shanfari, faculty member of College of Economics and Political Science at Sultan Qaboos University.

Sayyid Khalid has issued a statement in which he affirmed the vision of the Royal Academy of Management to be a beacon of the executive leadership and management, inspired by the Royal Directives of His Majesty the Sultan to fulfil Oman’s vision for the future.

He said the Academy’s plans and programmes are dedicated to implementing His Majesty the Sultan’s directives in investing in Omani human capital and equipping citizens with the knowledge and the latest practices to overcome future challenges.

Sayyid Khalid also stressed that the academy would effectively contribute to shaping future visions and insights with the aim of further developing the government system and public-private partnerships, seizing economic opportunities, and developing local management systems.
