ASMED, Salalah Port Sign Cooperation Agreement to Support SMEs
Muscat: A cooperation agreement was signed between the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED) and Salalah Port to encourage integration between small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and major companies operating in the logistics field to offer support services and implement In-Country Value (ICV) programmes.
This agreement is part of several partnerships through which ASMED seeks to empower SMEs and enhance their sustainability as well as diversifying their services.
The agreement also offers incentives for SMEs to develop suppliers and enhance ICV programmes.
According to the agreement, technical support will be provided to facilitate the implementation of the programmes and providing information and data related to the SMEs. It will also offer financial, technical, administrative and legal consultations, training services and marketing for SMEs.
