BankDhofar Joins Hands With Visit Oman to Provide Digital Payment Solution

Within its endeavor to enhance customers’ banking experiences by providing highly secured payment solutions, BankDhofar has joined hands with Visit Oman to launch an E-commerce Payment Gateway platform.
The initiative will enable Visit Oman’s partners to seamlessly purchase flights, accommodation, car rentals, tours and other Omani travel experiences online and in real-time.
Commenting on the partnership, Mazeer Al Balushi, Executive Manager – Acquiring Business at BankDhofar said: “BankDhofar is committed to providing quality products and services that fit seamlessly into our customer’s needs and adapt to the increasingly changing technological trends.

“With this solution offered to Visit Oman, BankDhofar aims to reaffirm its position as a leading bank in the Sultanate in providing secured and innovative payment solutions to enhance the customer experience journey, while enabling Visit Oman’s travel trade partners to process payments safely and securely.”
Salah Al Battashi, Digital Services Director at Visit Oman, explained: “Visit Oman is delighted to partner with BankDhofar to enable international debit or credit card payments on our digital platform. The integration with BankDhofar’s payment gateway, which will enable digital payment options, is a vital element to our provision of specialized and tailored experiences for our international travel trade partners in key source markets.
“It is another value-adding element to our state-of-the-art booking platform that enables the promotion of unlimited Omani travel experiences. This goes hand in hand with our vision to contribute to the Sultanate’s inboud tourism put by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MoHT), National Tourism Strategy 2040, and Oman Vision 2040.”
Following the initial VisitOman.om brand launch at Oman ministry level in June 2021, Visit Oman is now entering its commercial launch phase – in Q4 of 2021 – that facilitates the platform’s evolution into a dynamic, all-encompassing online marketplace, which will seamlessly connect the entire accredited Omani tourism supply chain to the travel trade sector in key international source markets.
BankDhofar’s E-commerce Payment Gateway comes in line with the bank’s digital transformation roadmap to offer service excellence to its customers and contribute to the digital economy by improving the electronic payment ecosystem.
The E-commerce Payment Gateway will offer a highly secure, safe, and intelligent e-eCommerce transaction environment for its eCommerce customers. At the same time, the platform will enable Visit Oman’s regional and international travel trade partners the opportunity to process transactions with their debit or credit cards through www.visitoman.om and receive instant confirmation of the payment transactions.
