Here’s How You Can Register To Partake In Friday Prayers In Oman From Sept 24
Muscat: In what will be a relief for those in Oman, Friday prayers for the faithful will commence in mosques from September 24, essentially putting to end a long hiatus in physical attendance in mosques after an outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ministry of Religious and Endowment Affairs granted permission to open mosques in Oman for Friday prayers in a decision announced today [September 19, 2021].
Albeit, worshippers will be required to fill a form online to be eligible to partake in the Friday prayers physically. Click here to download the form.
Regulations include a cap of 50 per cent in the mosques during prayers and adhering to safety protocols to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Only fully vaccinated worshippers will be allowed access into the mosque, and a team of volunteers will be present to verify the vaccine credentials.
It is also mandatory for worshippers to bring their own prayer mats and wear a face mask at all times.
