John Pugh Steps Down As National Mineral Water Company CEO

John Pugh, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Mineral Water Company SAOG, has decided to step down as per an announcement by the Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX).
The board of directors of the company cited personal reasons for the CEO of over seven years’ resignation from the company.
The public announcement reads: “The Board of Directors of National Mineral Water Company SAOG (Company) announces with regret that after seven and half years at the Company, John Pugh has decided to step down from his role as CEO of the Company effective 1st June 2021 for personal reasons.
“John has been CEO since 2014 and during this time he has been responsible for progressively and successfully restructuring, transforming, and repositioning the Company in the beverages sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
“An announcement relating to the appointment of a new CEO will be made shortly. John will assist and support the business in facilitating a smooth transition of responsibilities to the new management.”
The company has an extensive portfolio of drinking water and soft drinks that includes Tanuf Water, Salsabeel, and al Jabal al Akhdar, the National Mineral Water Company SAOG.
