BREAKING: Oman Extends Land Border Closure Until Feb 8
Muscat: The Supreme Committee tasked with dealing with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has issued a decision to extend the land border closure by one week.
This means Oman’s land borders will remain closed until February 8, 2021. The news, which was issued on Oman TV, stated that the extension will end at 6:00pm on the day.
The Sultanate had earlier extended its land border closure by one week in a bid to protect the citizens and expats from the new Coronavirus strain that was first detected in the UK in December 2020.
Oman’s Ministry of Health has issued a statement today [January 31] adding that four individuals had tested positive for the new strain of the virus.
