OER Corporate Excellence Awards 2025 Honours Entities and Innovations in Oman
The OER Corporate Excellence Awards, a flagship event by the Sultanate’s premium business magazine, was held at Sheraton Oman on November 10, 2025.
Hosted by His Excellency Shaikh Salim bin Mustahail Al Mashani, the gala event turned the spotlight on the paragons of corporate achievement, both listed and non-listed companies, who showcased remarkable performance and innovations. His Excellency Qais Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion was the chief guest at the event.
The event, which was a convergence of industry stalwarts and decision-makers, included an enlightening keynote session unveiling industry insights and futuristic trends, besides award presentations to commemorate corporate magnificence.
Khalid Ansari, Managing Partner, KMA & Partners made a keynote presentation on ‘Corporate Excellence.’ Excellence signifies outstanding quality and extreme proficiency, often marked by distinction. It sets individuals apart through consistent good behaviour, manners, and a positive attitude, he said. In the corporate realm, excellence reflects superior management practices and results, rooted in core values. It emphasises continuous improvement and learning from mistakes, while perfection seeks flawless performance with zero errors. Ultimately, workplace excellence distinguishes individuals and organisations, typically measured by financial indicators. In addition, Gopalakrishnan G, General Manager, Asian Paints ME made a presentation on Asian Paints Middle East and its initiatives in Oman and the GCC region.
The event also featured a panel discussion on “Innovative Approaches for Sustainable Business Growth and Diversification.” The panelists included Saud Ahmed Al Siyabi, COO, DIDIC, Tawfiq bin Abdul Hussain al Lawati, Chairman, Industry Committee (OCCI), Said Al Rashdi, CEO, BIMA Insurance, Zahra Abdulamir, Chief Risk Officer of Oman Arab Bank, and Gopalakrishnan G, General Manager, Asian Paints ME SPC. Oommen John, Editor, Oman Economic Review (OER) moderated the session. The session highlighted key strategies for fostering resilience and adaptability in today’s dynamic market. The panelists emphasised the importance of integrating sustainable practices into core business models, which not only enhances brand reputation but also attracts socially conscious consumers. Further, they deliberated on leveraging technology and digital transformation to optimise operations and create new revenue streams. Collaboration and partnerships, particularly across industries, were identified as crucial for innovation and expanding market reach. The session reinforced the need for a holistic approach that balances economic growth with environmental and social responsibility.
Organised by UMS Events, over 200 high profile attendees encompassing business stalwarts and C-suite executives attended the event. The event was endorsed by Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI).
Atulya Sharma, CEO, United Media Services in his welcome address, said the organisations that are being honoured at the event, have not merely survived disruption— they have used it as a springboard for innovation. They have diversified, digitised, and reimagined their business models to remain competitive and relevant in a changing world.

Moore Oman was the Knowledge partner. The Daily Tribune was the Bahrain Media Partner. ZiBi was the Zanzibar Media Partner. Alam Al Iktisaad was the Media Partner. OERLive was the Online Media Partner.
OER, in partnership with MOORE conducted a comprehensive survey of companies listed on the Muscat Stock Exchange, evaluating them against selected criteria including Company performance, Financial health, Profitability and Shareholder return. Companies were categorised into large cap, mid cap, and small cap segments to recognise top performers in each category. Paul Callaghan, Partner, Moore Stephens made a presentation on the Awards Methodology.
Further, OER’s editorial board meticulously selected the companies—whether listed, privately held, or government-owned—alongside industry leaders and innovative corporate initiatives that have made significant contributions to the economic and social progress of the Sultanate, aligning with the objectives of Vision 2040. The entities and individuals identified for their exceptional accomplishments were honoured with awards at the event.
