More than RO 300,000 Cash Prizes to be Won in ahlibank’s Prize Scheme 2021 Third Quarter Draws
Muscat: Committed to its promise of helping people achieve their dreams with more prize draws for more customer segments, ahlibank will celebrate the winners of its third quarterly draws in the beginning of October 2021. Stirring excitement amongst its customers, the bank is all geared up to reward prizes totaling more than RO 300,000, wherein one winner will walk away with the grand ‘Salary for Life’ prize of RO 250,000 (RO 1,000 monthly for 250 months). The event will be streamed live on the bank’s official social media pages.
Expressing his joy on the success of the Wafra scheme and its role in changing the winners’ lives, Muneer Al Balushi – AGM- Head of Retail Distribution, ahlibank said, “The Wafra prize scheme has witnessed huge popularity since its launch and this has encouraged the bank to continue its efforts to create new products that encompass a wider customer base. The draws help the winning customers in ensuring financial stability and secure their future and that of their families. ahlibank will continue to look for new opportunities that add value to customers and stakeholders through prize schemes, innovative banking products and superior customer service.”

The prize program is part of our long-term strategy that aims to promote financial inclusion among citizens, and an opportunity to further contribute to the Sultanate’s economic and social development objectives,” he further explained.
In addition to the ‘Salary for Life’ prize draw, the Bank will also announce the winner of the quarterly prize for Al Nukhba and exclusive accounts worth RO 25,000, and the winner of the quarterly draw of Imtiyaz accounts, where the bank will present a prize of RO 5,000.
Encouraging the habit of saving, the Bank will also conduct special quarterly draws for those who maintain an average quarterly balance of at least RO 5,000 in their accounts. Five lucky winners will be rewarded with cash prizes of RO 25,000 (RO 5,000 per winner).
In addition, the Bank will announce two winners in the monthly salary transfer draws where each winner will receive a prize of RO 1,000. Ensuring that everyone stands a chance to win, it will reward 5 young winners a total prize of RO 1,500 in the monthly draws that will be conducted under its ‘MyChoice’ category while 5 other winners in the children’s category will win a total prize of RO 1,000. Apart from these, a weekly draw is held for all branches, rewarding 20 winners with prizes worth RO 500 each. Along with that, the bank provides RO 500 to the winner of the weekly prize from Al Nukhba and exclusive accounts, and a prize of RO 500 to the winner of the weekly prize from Imtiyaz segment.
Most recently, ahlibank announced the winners of its second quarterly draws under the Wafra prize scheme with cash prizes totaling more than RO 300,000. Mr. Mohammed Salim from Avenues Mall branch won the grand ‘Salary for Life’ prize of RO 250,000. The event was held at ahlibank’s new branch in Al-Rustaq, in the presence of a limited number of the bank’s officials, and was streamed live on the bank’s official social media pages. The bank also showcased increased engagement on its Instagram account, by rewarding 10 winners from the live audience of the draws with a total of RO 1,000, marking the festive occasion of Eid al-Adha.
‘Wafra’- which means ‘abundance’ in Arabic – Prize Scheme 2021, aims to award total prizes worth over RO 2 million to more than 1600 customers across ahlibank’s branches in the Sultanate. These are given away across weekly and monthly prizes for the bank’s branches, salary transfer prizes, children prizes and youth prizes under ‘MyChoice’, , upper mass prizes under ‘Imtiyaz’, special prizes for premium and private customers under ‘Al Nukhba’ and ‘Exclusive’, and special event draws such as the 51st National Day and the opening of new branches.
