Environment Society of Oman to Host Virtual Fundraiser

Environment Society of Oman (ESO) is inviting friends and supporters to join its second virtual fundraiser, held in partnership with Oman Arab Bank, one of the Sultanate’s leading financial institutions.
Hosted by Rumaitha Al Busaidi, Board Director of ESO, the event is set to take place on 27 September 2021. Participants will be able to engage in a line-up of online bilingual events including a raffle, silent auction, interviews with local and international environmentalists, highlights of ESO’s activities past and present, and live performances from local musicians. Tickets are available online for purchase.
ESO, the country’s only non-profit organisation dedicated to the environment, has spent the last 17 years working to protect Oman’s environment through education, awareness and conservation.
The current health pandemic is serving as a stark reminder of how closely environmental health and human health are intertwined, and how important it is for ESO to continue its efforts. However, due to the economic impact of this pandemic, ESO has experienced a significant drop in funding.
There has never been a more important time to support ESO. This event is an avenue to help a cause dedicated to environmental preservation.
In addition to the fundraiser, various membership and support options are available for those who wish to support ESO to carry on its important work, and secure Oman’s environmental health for the coming generations. For tickets and enquiries, please go to ESO’s fundraising website – www.esofundraiser.com.
