Congratulating the winners of the awards, and thanking all the event partners and sponsors for their support – Lawrence Alva, CEO of NTI stated: “I believe the future of the Sultanate is dependent on the development and growth of Omanis. As part of the country’s economic diversification and employment generation agenda, it is essential to focus on training and nurturing a citizen workforce that is proficient in technical skills. The NTI TechPro 2019 has been established on the same belief and we hope it will bring change in perception, create opportunity and give recognition towards achievement in technical skills and training.”
Atulya Sharma, CEO, UMS, the event partner of NTI TechPro Conference and Awards averred: “By bringing young Omanis who are driving technical growth and innovation to the forefront, the event aims at encouraging participating individuals, as well as corporates, to step forward, mark and acknowledge their contributions in a broad manner. We also hope that the young generation will use this environment to facilitate the exchange of ideas for the future development of technicians within the industry. This is in line with UMS Group’s efforts to support the Sultanate’s ideology of building a nation for Omanis by Omanis, by assisting them to be the leaders of tomorrow.”
The conference entailed in-depth, interactive sessions including two panel discussions emphasising on the ‘Technician’s Expectations, Aspirations, and Challenges at the Workplace’ followed by ‘Expectations and Challenges at the Workplace’ from an employer’s standpoint.
