Oman Airports to Implement Fees on some Manually Handled Tools
Oman Airports will impose fees on specific manually handled luggage at Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport with effect from July 15th 2018. The procedure comes in a bid to reduce the number of luggage that cannot be handled through the luggage handling system due to their size, weight or quality which may suffer loss or damage during the handling process.
The procedure also aims at enhancing the efficiency of the ground luggage services provided through Oman Airports and in line with the international systems. They also come in a bid to ensure utilizing the modern technologies used in luggage handling at Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport to accelerate luggage handling in them.
